Business Development Representative (BDR)

What we need

Our sales team prides itself on its ability to help customers really understand how our product solves their challenges and meets their needs. Enduring customer relationships and customer success are integral to our ethos.

We’re looking for a Business Development Representative in Pacific Time zone, to act as the liaison between our Marketing and Sales teams. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting Opportunity targets. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with prospects, from the first contact until you hand the Opportunity off to Sales. Responsibilities
You will develop the pipeline and contribute to our long-term business growth:
Qualifying leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
Contacting potential clients through cold calls, email, LinkedIn, social media and direct mail
Responding to inbound enquiries (web forms, downloads, email, chat requests, inbound phone calls)
Presenting PlotBox to potential clients
Identifying client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
Proactively researching new business opportunities in the market (new companies and RFP’s)
Arranging meetings or calls between prospective clients and Solutions Consultants
Accurately enriching our Contact and Company database in the CRM
Conducting “freestyle” prospecting activities of your choice
Recording activities and results in the CRM
Attending weekly sales and company meetings

Who we think will be a great fit
ESSENTIAL:
You will be a highly motivated, self-sufficient and well organised professional who has proven work experience in sales and business development, with:

At least one-year hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
A great track record of achieving targets
Solid experience using CRM software
Deep understanding of sales and marketing performance metrics
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to deliver engaging presentations

DESIRABLE:
Ideally you will have relevant background experience in cemetery or any other deathcare industry.
