Cremation Society is seeking a Licensed Funeral Director for its Edison Park, Illinois location. This position requires the candidate to work Wednesday – Sunday, 9 am – 5:30 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Arranges, conducts, and manages all aspects of funeral and memorial ceremonies in a professional, organized and caring manner consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Negotiates and enters into funeral contracts.
  • Handles contracts, legal documents, and collection of payments in accordance with company policies.
  • Supervises staff and assists in funeral services.
  • Handles pre-need sales where applicable
  • Ensures adherence to all professional, municipal, provincial/state and federal licensing authority, regulations and rules applicable to the provision of funeral services
  • Prepares and accurately completes documents and online entries related to services, cremations, maintenance
  • Promotes and maintain a safe and healthy work environment

Requirements:

  • Valid Illinois Funeral Director license.
  • Minimum 2-5 years fully licensed Funeral Director.
  • Leadership experience, preferred.
  • IVRS experience, required.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record per DMV report.

  • Embalming skills a plus.
