Schedule: On-site - Sunday 8:15am-10:45am, Possible meetings/rehearsals as needed
Off-site – Preparation/rehearsal as needed
Purpose:
Provides organ music that enhances the experience of worship at Timberlake Church.

Basic Functions:
· Organ Performance: Deliver captivating organ performances during worship services, creating a serene and spiritually enriching ambiance for the congregation.
· Accompaniment: Provide skilled accompaniment for hymns, choral pieces, and other musical segments of the church services, enhancing the overall worship experience.
· Musical Selection: Collaborate with the music committee or clergy to select appropriate musical pieces that align with the themes of each worship service.
· Occasional Special Services (as needed): Offer your musical talents for special services, such as weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other religious ceremonies.
· Instrument Maintenance: Ensure the proper care and maintenance of the organ, reporting any technical issues to the appropriate person for repairs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Proficiency in Organ Playing: Demonstrate advanced skills in playing the organ with a focus on creating captivating and emotionally resonant performances.
· Musical Knowledge: Familiarity with various hymns, sacred music, and accompaniment techniques relevant to the church's beliefs.
· Religious Sensibility: Respect and understanding of the religious context and the role of music in worship.
· Collaboration: Ability to work harmoniously with other musicians, such as the choir director, pianist, and congregation, to enhance the worship experience through music.
· Availability: Flexible availability to accommodate various service times and occasional special services.
· Communication: Effective communication skills to coordinate musical selections and accompaniment with the music committee or clergy.
· Dedication: Commitment to punctuality and reliability in fulfilling your responsibilities as the Church Organist.
Education and/or Experience:
3 years of performance experience in a church or public setting
